Genetic engineering? GMO's? Greenpeace site about genetic engineering "Terminator seeds(tm)", anyone?
yes, you're right. but what about installing software for more than one user? there should really be more support for md5 checksums or gpg signs. bye
i know zdnet...(FUD) but there is really a problem. you know the scenario: ./configure make su make install //and here comes the problem with faked libs and binaries, suid'd root and you could run into trouble. i see a problem here
hello while you are president of opensource.org and open source != free software, what do you think about the SCSL, APSL and all the yet another publiclicenses ??? And do you think Montery will be successful? my 0.02 E
Developing Office Applications is a long way to go. The Winbloze versions have a long roadmap, and i dont think they are very stable. Miguel de Icaza said once upon time: Office Applications are only temporare on the Linux road, after a few years they are replaced by open source apps. Check out KOffice, Abiword and Gnumeric in a few years and you will *see*...
Yes ! We will see this new Logo when we go to a software shop !!! That`s a joke... You can run it on every distro which is glibc2.0/whatever based. Who needs Metroworks ? I prefer open source over closed binaries !!! Closed binaries are BS !!! This is only the beginning that proprietary binaries use GNU/Linux as the base because it is widly used. I (personally) don`t like this.
Yepp !!! Yet another license in KDE !!! Great(BS)...
