I go to uni at UQ (brisbane australia) and have team projects coming out of my ears! 2nd and 3rd year we have 1 whole subject a team project with elec, comp sys and software engineering students working in teams together on a product. "Software testing" I'm doing all the assignments are in teams. Each team has to split the marks between each other and each member has to sign their approval. In some cases we give marks to the other members of the group. In one subject that has only group assignments and a final exam, if you don't go as well on the final the assignments don't bump your mark up. In robotics all our labs were group work. There's a whole year group IT compulsory subject. In fact everyone get's rather sick of group work - you always end up putting in more effort cause other members slack off.
