"SEND A FUCKING COPY OF YOUR MAXTOR DRIVE RECEIPT!" -- I didn't do this, but I did ship my IBM drive in the box that my new Maxtor 60GB drive came in:).
I had the same exact issue with the drive I purchased. It worked beautifully for about 3 weeks, then died a horrible death with a loud clicking noise. UPS just delivered the replacement drive yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to test it out yet.
I figured that I had jinxed myself because about a week before it crashed I was bragging to a friend how I'd never had a hard drive crash on me. It's nice to know that I'm not alone:)
*Ahem* Sorry, I can't hold back, your(I hate that one even more)an insolent twit. No need to throw the hog at Americans, we've got Microsoft to bash!
