  1. Forget the price of Gas, who gets that money? on Domestic Drilling Doesn't Decrease Gasoline Prices · · Score: 0

Forget the price of Gas. Who gets the dollar we spend for energy is a more pertinent question. The price of oil is determined in LARGE part by OPEC and the value of the US Dollar. If we produce more oil domestically, OPEC will produce less to keep prices up. The real benefit to domestically produced oil is in keeping our energy spend in the US. This would balance our trade deficit and maybe even increase the value of the dollar. Cheap gas will require increasing the value of the dollar. If we can't do that the least we can do is keep our money here.

If we can determine just what man did 5,200 years ago to cause that sudden climate change then perhaps we can prevent a re-occurance. They didn't had catalytic convertors back then. But wait. The article says that the climate change was likely cause by a decrease in solar activity. I think its rather presumptuous to assume man can have any impact on the weather. But maybe some of you fear that we could lower the global temp if we all opened our refregerator doors in unision. A volcano can dump more greenhouse gasses in an hour than man can produce in a year. We can little affect the global climate fir good or bad. We can only go with the flow. To think otherwise is to live in a state of fear needlessly.

While it is true that my iMac is powered by an IBM PPC G3 750, Motorola still supplies the G4 cpu for Apple. IBM currently only supplies G3 cpus for the iBook. Hopefully that will all change, as I am no fan of Motorola's abysmal performance of late. I am looking forward to seeing IBM's 64bit 970 cpu powering Apple's lineup on the future.

wtf ??? Microshaft makes a great os? They should put it on the market instead of the crap they offer now. A great os would be rock solid. A great os would respect the privacy of the user. A great os would be brought to market with few bugs & no security holes. A great os wouldn't cost so much. A great os wouldn't be crippled with a home edition. Want a great os? Try GNU/Linux, or FreeBSD or Mac OS X.

Don't hold your breath ... but do write your congressman and your local newspaper. Fighting and loosing is much better than rolling over. If we can't just overturn DCMA in one fell swoop, then we should chip away at it incrementally. Writing a letter to your congressman will have more impact than posting here.
