For two straight years, every single school day, myself and 3 of my friends would play hearts for the whole 1 hour lunch break. Only once did someone (me:D ) shoot the sun (getting ALL tricks, not just all the points, results in +52 for everyone else).
There are also lots of hearts variations that can be found on the net to change the game a bit (for example, jack of diamonds worth -10, booster 9s, turbo charged cards, etc.) I definitely recommend hearts.
You didn't expect him to be there forever, did you?
Of course not, but thats why people watch. It's thats the suspense that draws you in. He could lose anyday. Thats partially why so many more people have started watching Jeopardy since Jennings came on.
Am I the only one who thinks Jennings might not have been beaten? Apart from the fact this article could be wrong, what are the odds that he'd lose after exactly 75 games? As well, $75,000 is his current highest one day record. Did he decide to step aside and give other people some chances?
Not necessarily. All that needs to happen is they need to be within half of his score by final Jeopardy. Then he gets it wrong, they get it right, and they're the new champion. It's already been possible 3 times (I believe? correct me if I'm wrong) out of the 41 shows aired. They don't have to be smarter, just a bit luckier.
(Oh, and I also agree that this shouldn't have been posted main page. I really didn't want to read about this.)

Reminds me of a Dilbert comic:
Accounting Troll: "Over here we have our random number generator"
Number Generator Troll: "Nine Nine Nine Nine Nine Nine"
Dilbert: "Are you sure that's random?"
Accounting Troll: "That's the problem with randomness: you can never be sure"
