Not necessarily. Perhaps if you installed a program called c:\dos\run.exe, or c:\dos\run.bat which loaded it in high memory or loaded it over the interpreter, to free up RAM?
Hmm....

I loved DOS. I hate navigating the start menu, if I wanted to do one thing, I'd use start->run and have it execute it as if that was DOS, or if I wanted to do more I'd start a shell. DOS made fixing a crashed machine easier. I don't know why they got of Command Prompt mode in ME, when it was still 100% DOS...
And can I pass parameters from Windows? Redirect the output? I think not!!
DOS was your friend, admit it, even Linux Lovers. Way back then, before linux, you had that much power, and people would use it wisely, instead of bloating. No drivers to crash the box. If it didn't work, it might work in some other application.
So - remember DOS always. It will live on in memory...

Will this compile on Cygwin? I don't think TCPDump will, or will it? I'll take a look later. I also own a copy of flash, mebbe I'll write something cool as a vis client.....
I'll post my results later.

...that all anti-VA posts, such as "Will they change their stock symbol" or "Who cares" have all been modded down as redundant?
:)
...that there are very few "Good idea, VA!" posts?
...that the very few "good idea"s that there are are modded up?
...that they're all biased?
...that CmdrTaco is the only one who seems to care and post articles about the OSDN?
...that adding "Now mod me down for being a troll" at the end gets about "+5, Funny" or "+3, Interesting"?
With saying that....
Mod me down for being a troll, just wanted to put these out...

Boy do I love that "Close Group feature of WinXP. *rightclicks on "98: DOS LIVES!" and hits close group.*

Last I checked, VMWare needs to install drivers (VMWare Eth0 + VMWare BIOS [?]), and access the registry. --joshua
