I generally agree. I am a home user and updated my cron daemon after being notified about this vulnerability - I am on the Red Hat "watch-list" and "announce-list."
However, _many_ Red Hat users are not aware of these issues and the Mailing List.
I suggest that Red Hat incorporate an update daemon that will periodically dial-up an update server and download/install all necessary fixes.
