A big bright spot would stand out a bit, wouldn't you think? And since there aren't that many people who regularly try to blind cameras, this guy may just be making himself stick out like a sore thumb!
That's right, blame the platform for HP's outrageously buggy drivers.;) Perhaps the entire Microsoft line of operating systems has been "horrid to code for" as well?
It's nothing personal...I've just 'personally' downloaded a driver from hp.com that said *in the readme's step by step instructions* that the installer will lock up at the end of the file copy process so press CTRL-ALT-DELETE and kill it!
The original iMac sold many millions of units. It was the direct hit that Apple had been waiting for, and Jobs delivered. It's style has influenced countless PC designs. And, perhaps most significantly, it's success was all despite the overwhelming popularity of incompatible PC hardware and software.
It would be unrealistic for Apple to aim for domination in the desktop market. But they've found a hell of a niche that nobody else seems able to fill with such grace.
many of the traits that contribute to iq do seem to be heritable, but iq only seems to test things that we've evolved to solve problems that are specific to our ancestors' environment (visualizing 3d spaces, for instance), and very basic logic (that even the earliest computers had no problem with, but people often have a very difficult time with). neither of which is a good measurement of "generic intelligence", as if there is such a thing.
put simply, i just know too many people who test >150iq but don't know their ass from their elbow.:)
