hopefully they're not doing this any more, but when i cancelled my verizon dsl service last september, they continued to bill me for the service. since it appeared on my phone bill, there wasn't a lot i could do about it but simply substract the dsl charges and just pay for my actual phone charges. i called verizon billing support each of the first two months during these post-cancellation charges, and each time the customer service monkey on the other end would say "oh, sorry about that, sir. i'll take care of it." verizon didn't take care of it until 3 months later, when i was finally credited for the charges they put against my account. the last billing support person i spoke to admitted to me that the 3 month delay is standard practice. of course they didn't mention that the first few times i called... anyone else run into this BS?
