  1. PDA's not what they're cracked up to be... on Review Of The Sharp Zaurus 5000D · · Score: 1, Troll

I have owned a few Palms in my day, and all of them have ended up being ignored for the most part. The trouble with them is that if I'm in my car making appointments on my cell phone, there's no way I can spend 5 minutes using graffiti, etc. to enter a new appointment. It just isn't convenient enough for me. So, until they have a voice recognition system that allows me to add a contact, and schedule a meeting with them by uttering a few simple words, I'll stick with my pen and paper.

Couldn't you just not eat like a pig? or perhaps learn to use a treadmill to do the same thing?

I think we're getting a tad too reliant on pills to solve all of our problems. There's a pill for high cholesterol, a pill to make you feel happy, a pill to keep you off other pills... When will it stop?

  3. To enjoy the display... on Geminid Meteor Shower · · Score: 1

...make sure you get out of the city to view the show. Meteor showers et al look MUCH better outside of the glare of the city lights. And, bring binoculars with you. You wont regret it!

I remember seeing some really neat meteor showers as a kid--and the further out of town you can get, the better. It's worth the car ride at 2 in the morning.

  4. We don't need no damn passwords! on New Microsoft SQL Server Worm · · Score: 1

You know, back in the "good-ol'-days" of 1993, we didn't need no stinking passwords on our servers. You could leave holes in your software so big you could drive a mack-truck through and be completely safe. I tell you, it's those no-good kids that have nothing better to do that to drop out of school after only a Masters degree under their belt and turn to a life of crime destroying the saviour--Microsoft. uhm, yeah.. That's it :)

I've always found them to be ver responsive to my complaints (at the beginning their forms for maintaining a DNS server sucked.. They actually reprogrammed it for me based on my input!) I moved everything from NSI and am very happy.

  6. Cheapest Registrar I've found: $8.95/year or less on What to do when your registrar (NSI) ignores you? · · Score: 1

I don't work for them, but, I've found GoDaddy to be a VERY cheap and VERY good registrar. They are responsive, and the forms are easy to use (all web-based). Even domain TRANSFERS are a breeze... :)
