It has nothing to do with client/server. Both clients and servers can accept connections, and can make connections, and data can travel both ways.
Typically, if you're talking about retrieving data, you'd say you're downloading it, and if you're talking about sending data you'd say you're uploading it.
So you shouldn't normally say something is being download to a computer. You should say it's being uploaded to a computer. Or downloaded from a computer.
Of course it's just as good to say it's being downloaded from computer A to computer B, but you should get the point.
