As much as I would like to agree with you, i think that companies do have the right to protect their copyrights. I dont think I really need to go into a huge discussion on how companies would lose their motivation to develop new products if they didnt have that right.
I almost hate myself... this post sounds like a Microsoft "Freedom to Innovate" speach.
