Will this affects W's up-coming space announcements?
Solaris 2.x (and 8+ ) are an AT&T Sys V derivitive.Solaris 1.x and earlier are BSD based. No Linux in Solaris. There is GPL'd software included in later releases of Solaris, including the Companion CD. Perhaps your reference is into some of the server offerings Sun has that include various distros of Linux? (e.g. Cobalt and 6xX servers)
As a cube owner - I'd be interested to see if he'd sell this as a kit. props to the best cube mod I've seen!

Microsoft has good products, but my beef with MS is the propensity for proprietary software/API's/data. The computing world would be so much better if all software - be it commercial, free or otherwise was based on agreed upon standards.
