I think it's interesting that so many sites are copying the basic format of slashdot.org. This is only the most recent example. For others visit xwin.org and osnews.com. Innovation is dead.
If you're looking for moral issues related to technology, I don't know how appropriate this is for a report by any sane person, but my former AI prof would do nothing but go on about the impending war for creating machines that will be superior to humans. He sees the end of human species superiority as the most important moral issue of the next 50 years.
