I don't know how many times as a programmer, QA, team lead, sysadmin, and manager I had to pound the concept of Universal Time Coordinates into programmers heads. As well as ntp. Both are critical in real life applications. This is one of many reasons I have come to look upon most programmers with disdain and disgust.
They are already signed by the staff, if any. Otherwise it would be contingent on employment, "sign this or you we walk you off of the property". That is what "at will" employment means. But no, Americans are too stupid to unionize.
The work I have seen from overseas, reviewing pull requests, have not borne that out. Usually the AMerican staff did the wrong thing and fixed it for the overseas staff.
That's the core of Keynesian Econoics, which most mainstream economists these days consider voodoo,;as you can't write up a nice, neat, overly clever set of equations to describe; but which is the only economics which has been proven to work in the real world.
What other statistics matter? Isn't the point of an economy giving people the goods and services they want and need? The root word for economics comes from a Greek word meaning "household". If economic theory does not look at what is good for households it is not economics.
And the riots were not even due to the anti-fascists. It was a clear cut case case of police provocatuers. The Seattle Chief of Police ended up resigning.
Ridiculously low. I ran some numbers and if you want adequate food, clothing, shelter, medical care, retirement, and a decent education for the kids you need about $50k to $60k. In other words there are many professionals making minimum wage or less.
I keep asking that question. Setting up colonies and supporting them will take a large amount of energy. Is there enough energy available on Earth to sustain this? Even with solar and wind. Remember all rocket fuel we have now is petroleum based. Would the energy required leave the planet a raped burnt out husk?
I've never been aware of any ethics in IT/Software develoment. I also know of no board of ethics which can pull a programmer's or administrator's license to operate.
But in the end all of that is mere eye candy. The actual time never changes making conversions easier.
It doesn't affect me. I'm going to find the POS authors of the study and kick the shit out of them.
I like it like I like my women; cold black and bitter.
Give someone some LSD tonight and then change the clocks.

+kerosene. Oh, and solid rockets.
I knew some jerk was going to say this. Why can't one parent stay home and take acre of the kids? Kids need care. Why do you hate that idea?
I used to quite pointedly wear a pair of orange hearing protectors. It helped but management never got a clue.

He could pay his people a living wage. Which could then drive space tourism and create the market conditions needed for long term space development.

SO why are you hanging out here instead of rushing to volunteer to help those in need? Seems your violating your ethics
