    In my opinion TCO is also subjective.

    Cant help but notice that usability and features aren't listed. There's a reason I still use Photoshop. Its features and ease of use make it worth the price.

    Your right, so long as people have no regard for the work of others you will keep seeing laws like this passed becuase you will keep seeing people with the missguided impression that access software/movies/music/etc is a right rather then a privilege.

    Not that I realy care (however others seem to based on the moderation). From what I've read, BMW has been linked to the following camps

    For me it was when he said that non Christians shouldn't be considered citizens, much less patriots. So if in his eyes I'm not a citizen, I guess there's no way for me to vote for him.

    Bush: I guess I'm pretty weak in the atheist community. Faith in God is important to me.
    Sherman: Surely you recognize the equal citizenship and patriotism of Americans who are atheists?

    Bush: Yes, I support the separation of church and state. I'm just not very high on atheists.

    So, they've invented SED? Cause thats what I've been using for years to replace old/broken links. A simple script using the netsaint/nagios service tests can check if a link is still good and then build a list of bad ones to be replaced by script number two using SED.

    Not true, you CAN passively cool a high end P4 or AMD system. However its not worth it. I use the same VIA motherboard as you do for my web server for much the same reason. I dont bother with fanless for my main systems because the RAID makes more noise then the fans.

    You know what they say when you assume. Do a quick internet search on these sites (allofmp3.com, mp3club.ru etc). The artists get nothing, your money for the most part goes to the Russian mafia. So you may as well be using Kazza or what have you.

    Since when does freedom of speach extend to the illigal distribution of copywritten movies over the internet? Since that is the only instance when this law can take effect I realy dont see what everyone is so worked up over. Hell, there is even an exception clause for sending movies to your firends and family.

    If you take someones work without their permission, then yes you are ripping them off. Dont realy see why thats so hard for people to grasp when they'd throw a fit if their boss decided to stop paying them but still expected them to shop up for work.

    Given that the ATMs run unpatched Windows XP and have in the past been hit by internet worms I fail to see whats so shocking about any of this. I will not use a Diebold ATM, even if that means I dont eat lunch because there's no other source for cash handy.

    Jebus. People aren't even reading the summery, much less the article. Here, let me refresh your memory.

    Interestingly however, this does not directly outlaw it, instead extending the penalty by seven years for felonies performed using such fraudulent websites.

    So when you use false information to avoid SPAM or protect your privacy are you committing fraud?
