i once sent money from my bank account via
PayPal when i didn't have enough money to
cover the payment. I previously used my credit
card with PayPal, so i was unfamiliar with how it
worked with my my bank account.
I called PayPal's Customer Service, and the
woman assured me that the money would not be
taken from my account for 3 - 5 days.
She was wrong, of course. My bank charged me
$25 to stop the funds transfer from bouncing.
PayPal's Customer Service changed its tune and
said that money comes out of the account
immediately.
I still use it but don't expect anything from
Customer Service if i have problems. I have
heard from eBayers who have said that PayPal is
of little help during an auction dispute.
And i am worried that someone at PayPal may
decide to withdraw money from every uer's bank
account and then move to the Caymans.
