I'm a small ISP offering DSL, and have to agree that most telco's pretty much suck. While the DSL service is our product, we have to rely on the telco's for the lines to be installed.
Unfortunately the two telephone companies in our area (Verizon and Ameritech) drag their feet so much that the customers finally give up waiting and switch to another provider, usually the telco, who can magically get the line installed within a couple of days.
Tell me how it's a good thing when "monopolies" are taking away our choices by forcing small business like mine to close up shop, especially when we can offer as good or better customer service.
