Has anyone heard of any PCI based motherboards that work with the Crusoe processor. I am going to build a new PC and I was thinking that transmeta could gain alot from the hacker community tinkering with their processors. Here are some possible benefits of using a Crusoe processor.
1. Cost: Crusoe may be less expense then AMD/Intel. Chips. I don't know since I can't buy one with a motherboard but perhaps.
2. No Fan. Because of "cool" feature of the Crusoe it may be possible to build a machine that is very quiet and that does not require a processor fan.
3. Low power. How it helps the planet;-)
4. Tinker with Code Morphing. It would be awesome if they released emulation code that could be placed on the processor to have it emulate several different processors.
Just some thoughts.
