Seems like this would DISCOURAGE adoption of broadband by consumers for digital TV purposes etc (the alleged goal of the CBDTPA). On one side of the fence we have Sockpuppet Hollings attempting to give our hardware and software a labotomy so the content holders can (supposedly) make content available to us online. And on the other side of the fence, we have the content holders (or at least one here, and a major one at that) trying to make it harder for us to get at the content in the first place.
Does anyone else see anything wrong here? If these people are allowed to continue running their businesses, they are going to destroy their own industry (and then blame it on piracy no doubt).
