I think i was in the 3rd grade of humaniora (14 y.o) when my physics teacher gave me some extra homework cos I was talaking too much. I had to write a small essay on 'quantum teleportation'. I had completely no idea what it meant (neither did he, the whole idea was that the task was informative for the both of us -- he was a clever man indeed) well anyway, I started reading about it on the internet, and read that in a university in switserland (if I recall coreectly) they could teleport atoms. I found this very exhilirating, cos they also mentioned on thei rsite the applications for this, such ass mass transport, zero-time transport to other universes, super fast networks AND quantum computers.
Okay my story is getting longer than I had wanted, but what I mean to say is: every day I read somewhere that quantum computers are just around the corner. Why can't they just cut the bullshit until they actually have it. This is something remakably irritating about/. (no offence to the readers/moderators/posters). Quit posting about 'they are working on '... It's kinda depressing to see all that cool stuff, and being kept reminded of it... I get kinda unrestful;)
ah c'mon man, you know what I mean, no need to be a partypooper:p
Over here in belgium they are still discussing what to do about cannabis, I'd be happy if it would be remotely like in the Netherlands. Although I must admit I never had any trouble with law enforcement on this subject (or any other...)
I don't think there are any sufficient laws yet concerning the subject of 'worldwide piracy'... I mean look at it, this kind of 'stealing' knows no boundries:
the person(s) sharing the file(s) could be in a country, the downloader in a different country and the servers (if thereare any) in yet another country and the company could be of a completely other country.
(if you know what I mean *wink* *wink*:p)
I had absolutely no problems with my AMD:)
But AMD being a smaller company does have to raise customer satisfaction by stuff like: better customer support 'n stuff (I think...)
do you think that a few measily bucks could hurt intel? I bet that company has more money than you could begin to start thinking of dreaming about it...
I don't know why... but I always disliked Intel and had a weak for AMD for the last couple of years... must be something psychological. Kinda like "the big-bad-wolfy-Intel" harassing AMD.
CeBIT sucked bigtime..; I can't believe I wasted my time there... Why did it suck? cos it was waaaaay too bussiness and completely non-tech. And you know what really topped it off for me? Me and my friends couldn find a place to rest. First we squatted down at some German Bank or something, and the guy chased us away 'dis is keine shitzplatse' or something, and then when we found some empty seats some lady came up and said "this is an area that is preserved for bussinesmen". I mean c'mon... wtf do bussiness ppl care about all those nifty gadgets eh? well zark cebit, and zark bussinesppl
When a computer gets grumpy and frustrated a couple of weeks before a big project is due, then I'll know it's joined our ranks...
my computer is always grumpy and frustrated... especially when it has to do cpu intensive tasks, like handling a mouseclick... *cough*
