i'm not so impressed that sgi's "recovery" is basically linked to war-based activities.
here, outside the usa, many people roll their eyes when they hear about how much the usa spends "in the interest of national security" (read "keeping the rest of the world as fucked as possible") and how few americans benefit from this (for example, those with shares in SGI and the other big companies who benefit from war-making).
i don't really care who makes the soft-tech (missile guidance software for example) or the hard-tech (cruise milliles) -- they're the same type of sucker on the ass of real americans.
oh wait, i don't see any real americans on my yankee-doodle-ized media, so maybe they don't exist...
