There's no real alternative to dead tree. My father worked in the printing industry and at about the time of Win 95 and I remember him saying that a lot of the printing industry had seen that maybe the writing was on the wall. M$ was just a big step towards minimising dead tree. He was quite stoic about the change in the industry and just saw more people moving from his industry to ours. He was quite amazed to find out how dead set we were against the decline of dead tree
