They definitely have it here at U of M.
I know of a few people who got caught by it. They've had it for years. I love how the news reports other schools doing this stuff as if it's groundbreaking. Remember that teacher at Virginia who wrote a program to compare term papers???
I believe that U of M's compares the compiled assembly code. So the "crafty" student who changes variable names in the source will still get caught.
