yay, why is /. so obsessed with all this pseudo-science and pseudo-technology shit? that's even worse than all that anti-ms FUD the editors normally spread. *sigh* can't you silly little non-confrontational queers just go kill yourselves??

it doesn't quite work tho because that of damned domain display "feature." so i decided that the whole thing should point to goatse, but when you move the mouse over it, the whole thing gets underlined, which is not so good.

I might change it so that it only says [ Reply to This ]. that would make it less suspicious.

Luckily slashdot green is almost indistinguishable from black :)

I think many slashdot readers would be quick to assert that Microsoft security flaws are not a minority by any stretch of the imagination.

they would indeed, but who cares what the majority of the pimply-faced slashbots has to say?

Why do you think I do kernel development?? I don't. We == the company I work for; I've shipped 7 products since I've been working for them, and every one of them has involved a multi-month freeze/bug fix/test cycle. If you tried to introduce a feature as serious as a new kernel VM in the middle of OUR code freezes, you would be laughed at.

rofl. try telling the linux zealots.

even then it would not be free. all that money IBM and other companies are investing in linux , all that money they pay their developers they eventually get back by adding a linux/free software tax to their produts' prices.

Monocultures like this in the biolgical world are known to be extrememly vulnerable to attacks from (biological) viruses and parasites, and it's no less true with computers.

Try telling RMS who wants everyone to use his GNU system.

    sendmail

Postfix is a widely used alternative, and it's also a lot leaner and more secure than sendmail, while offering almost the same functionality, and fewer configuration hassles.(no, i won't mention qmail here because DJ Bernstein is a prick and just fucking annoying.). the sendmail monoculture will soon cease to exist.
