  2. Great for both-I think on Farscape & Stargate SG-1 New Seasons Tonight · · Score: 1

Well, let me start off of how big of a fan of StarGate I was. Back in '96 I had one of the 3 stargate sites, and worked with the guy who later became the webmaster of the SG1-site. So being a hardcore fan I read that Dean Devlin (producer, and writer of the movie) wanted to make it a trilogy after the books. But MGM wanted money, and thought a series would be a better idea. Fair enough, I gave it a chance- It got worse in my opinion. From the beggining really, changing the name of Shau'ri to Sharay (sp due to lack of accent) Who the hell knows why they needed nudity in the pilot too. And changing of the "Death Glider" name from Udjeet glider made me mad. But reasonably enough, the stories were quite good. After a season or two, I begin leaving the house more and more, and less SG-1-I come back and the plots just seem so ridiculous and complicated that it just needs to be put out of its misery. I mean, from what I understand its story works, but its needlessly complicated and getting worse; Now if sci-fi can help 'em out maybe get things really back on track it'll be good, But I'm also a hard core movie fan, so the show started off bad with me. In any case, Farscape is the most original show I've ever seen, the comedy, plots and characters are great. They have excuses, that star trek never answered as well. Finally, I like it so much because its so original, I've not once been able to guess whats going to happen next, maybe soap-opera-y but its working right now.

  3. Snakes on ISP Forced Out of Business by DoS · · Score: 1

Well think of a snake, sometimes they have to use the snakes own venom to cure the bite, so applied to hacking, its created to protect (as in the snakes case) but it can be used to harm, lethal evan--

so theres no real answer, yes I think their wrong, but theres always going to be that script kiddie to fire up an exploit and cause a DOS, which only means we'll get stricter laws eventually because the government really has no interest in the way the crackers get the script, just that they used it...and don't evan get me started on the media.
