What are the benefits of the last few versions of Windows?
To support the newer Office versions, of course.

(Awright, I'm not entirely fair here. MS Windows XP is a decent gaming platform, if a bit expensive. From my experience, it's stable and reliable, if you buy your games, and don't use it for anything else. I've got a Wintendo, do you?)
This (1) urban legend has bit us twice this week. If I may offer a speculation, I'd say that heavy activity is more relevant to this than just having billions of rows.
They do not hate Linux. They love it, and expect to make lots of money from it.

There is possible to make exceptions to the RBL filters.
If NSI gets blacklisted, and you still want to receive mail from them, you should be able to add their mail server to the RBL filters exception list. Check your mailserver or filter documentation.
User bandwidth is not the problem. That will come soon. The problem is bandwidth between ISP's, especially over (under) large amounts of water. That is the expensive part.
