I just cleaned my keyboard yesterday. I took the entire thing apart (keys and all) and cleaned every bit of it with an old toothbrush. You would be surprised and disgusted by how much filth was in there. I'd had the keyboard for 3 years and never cleaned it, so it was definately more than due.
