I tend to stay with the more bloated (I say bloated because I'll never use chatzilla or the webpage editor) Mozilla install rather that the Firefox. IMO Firefox is still the fledgling of the two and therefor prone to more random huccups when migrating the codebase from Mozilla. Don't get me wrong, Firefox is my choice over IE, but I prefer to stick with the grand-daddy.
Peter Torr's blog irritates me because it is an unresearched and rambling, step-by-step walkthrough that was specific to his system, (or virtual system). He attempted to make apparent that this is a "typical" install when the average user may not experience the bumps he did.
And to all those who read into this too far; are righties really too different than lefties? My mother was a lefty "beaten" to be a righty and therefore ambidextrous. She can write with both hands. One of the more smarter individuals I've met. I myself am a righty and I find no challenge in thinking right-minded or left. So really, in the end, does it make a difference?
But is it needed? I figure we will cap out the need eventually with transfer rate in so far that it will be faster than hard drive transfer rates. It comes to need, wireless technology does need improvement, but I have been sitting at 11 mbs for a while and I can stream video no problem. Besides, penis-size doesn't matter to a geek if the geek doesn't use it.
