I know what some of that was.

They already look like Chrome, and behave like Chrome
They are a rendering engine away from Chrome.

Which is why I stop using it after 56.

    Yet.
I give it a couple of years before everything but Search and YouTube requires Chrome
And 5 years for Search and YouTube.

  5. Why are you optimizing for one specific browser
There are standards. If you page is writing with them, then you shouldn't need to do it.
I doubt even Google follows them on their sites. Just make it so Chrome works the best.

Its like voting, your individual power is next to meaningless.

  10. Nah. Google is becoming more like Microsoft.
M$ has been around a lot longer.

Still aren't but I would trust Reddit more than any of the cable news companies.
Would trust the companies over facebook for news

  16. Yeah. M$. No more update for Windows 10 until you actually finish them. Tested them. Tested again. Tested a third time. Sent to the insiders to let them test it.
Repeat this process at least 3 times before releasing to the general public.
I am pretty sure people are getting tired of being your beta testers. Especially when don't listen and release a service pack that delete user data.
You can't comp out with the "Good, fast, cheap, pick 2" excuse. You have the money so you can make a good fast product if you wanted.
    Which apparently you don't.

Second best thing, easier to find things on the pirate sites.

  18. I'm not so sure. Seems like the publishers could, if they chose, run the same game themselves and complain to amazon about sellers they felt were violating copyright.

True, but I would bet money Amazon is doing this to save on legal fees in the long run.

  19. 1. That is still covered under the first sale doctrine, but nobody has the money to fight it since the 1% have the majority of it.
    2. It is not. It is repairing. Apple just wants more and more money. Also what you get for buying something that cannot be repaired. That is one of the major problems cell phones have.
    3. You can talk about. Nothing preventing that. Its just that the news corp have decided to make it Red vs Blue ti get views and ad dollar. Being journalist are the last things those companies want to do. They honestly need to get some points from Rooster Teeth.
    4. Same as three mostly. But its nostalgia more than news corps.
    5. You can, but like number 3, the news corp have made this country Red vs Blue.

Part of the problem is the news media. Not for fake news, but for news being last and ad revenue first. Another is that people keep voting the same assholes into office.

Its the text book publishers that are causing this. Why would I pay $100 for a book I need and required to have when I can get it for $50. Counterfeit or not.
