    As said by other people before:

    NAS = easy to manage (compared to SAN)
    SAN = high performing (compared to NAS,
    but complex.

    You might also consider to purchase a fibrechannel RAID chassis and attach it directly to your server. This allows you to bypass a lot of config-trouble. It also saves a lot of money while you get the performance of SAN.
