Did you try to get Veritas/Sun to loan you copy of either the Netbackup with snap and Oracle agent to test ? This might do the trick, however what you do with the snapshot is pretty important. Backing up off the original server will impact peformance, especially for 100 GB. You may also want Sun to ante up the Instant Image product, you can then start the backup through another server.

Question for you - maybe I just don't understand. How can one recover something from 6 months ago in a database ?
Would they not have to recover the DB somewhere else ?
