For ultimate Cruft, what about dragging something over the taskbar icon for the app. I've never understood why this doesn't do exactly the same as dragging the item over the application window, but the damned thing doesn't work.
And I can start dragging something and then press Alt-Tab to bring up a menu of currently-running apps. But I can't drop the item onto that menu of apps. Why the hell not???
