Wikipedia states of Colbert, Louis XIV's finance minister: "He ranks as one of the fathers of the school of thought regarding trade and economics known as mercantilism -- in fact, France calls "mercantilism" Colbertisme.". Of the main point, that the globalization helps everyone in the end, I agree with reservations.
