Sci-Fi at least has a relation to the physics of the freaking real world. Not some superstitious retard crap from some idiots who still believe that there could be unicorns and pots of gold and Tinkerbell and a god and miracles, etc.
Of course the very point of that crap is that they do not think. Which makes any arguing pointless, and all they want is to stone one.
People finally have to realize that it's a gave disease. A total loss of any acceptance of causality an reality, where they base all and everything on some bullshit that makes them accept their shitty lives, jobs, etc.
It's a form of schizophrenia. That's all that it is. And it has to be handled like it. People with schizophrenia also do not want one to help them. They really think that the world is that way and everything is good. Even when they constantly get ripped of, made do idiotic things to help others gain power over them, etc. They just say they wanted it that way. And religious people say god wanted it, and blame it on themselves. Which works eves better.
And nobody dare to attack their bullshit stories with any "logic". No. That would be "discriminatory". But they can of course force their sick disgusting twisted reality on everyone and not be discriminatory. Nooo, you not letting them is discriminatory too. *Of* *fuckin* *course*!!! How could I have doubted that.
Either heal 'em, or throw 'em out of society, because everything they touch becomes one disgusting piece of sick shit with perverse "values" and total madness.
If I were a big site like YouTube, I'd phase out all non-standard rendering, and go full standard.
Then I would direct all the heat straight to Microsoft (and others just as much if they do something non-standard or have bugs).
I could imagine making it more comfortable, by pre-testing the site with all browsers, and then redirect to a site that makes it all clear in less than 7 seconds, who it is that is to blame for this, and why. I would also display a browser-dependent e-mail address and redirect all mails that go to that address right to the bug trackers / mailing lists of that browser management or development team.
I know you are joking. But until digital signatures become useful, letters will be with us. and I think the future for postal services is bright. Because they earn money with every single thing that you order to be delivered on the net. How much bigger in terms of business opportunities can you get?:)
Well, things were so simple, if it weren't for the doctrine preachers.
Then we could simply say "do whatever works best". Because nothing is absolute. What do you think: If there is one "all socialist" nation, one "all capitalist" one, and one that uses the best of both... who is going to be the most successful?:)
One of the most promising MMORPGs in development these days is NCSoft's Aion, a fantasy-based...
That's where I stopped reading TFS. Why does it always have to be fantasy?
I have the feeling, that religion, fantasy and being dumb go hand in hand somehow, and that this is, why there is so much fantasy stuff popping up in the last years.
Where are all the sci-fi MMOs? Are there really so few people who prefer things that could actually really happen or that a bit of make sense in the basic physical way?
I wish those games would have two views (think database views). One where you play in a sci-fi world, maybe others, and one for the retards, with fairies, magic and all. (There. I said it. It's retarded. Go ahead, mod me troll. It's still true, and your non-logical reaction proves it even more.) The analogies are so strong, it would probably pose no problem at all. ^^
M.I.P.B-R with M = major I = minor P = patch/bugfix B = build (semi-auto-incrementing) R = release (eg. when you test a Firefox plugin for a new version of Firefox, and it works without changes. so you only have to change the maxVersion. Or when distributing things. can be left away)
You can also add a digit in front of it, in case you package/bundle things, like in Adobe Master Suite ore Office suites. That digit could then be the year, or whatever. (like "XP" in... XP;)
Until everything becomes a webapp, the ecosystem almost demands it. Here's hoping people realize webapps are where it's at, for most things.
Are you drunk? What are you talking about? What "ecosystem"? Some people living on (computing) clouds, and some loonies adding yet another layer of inner platforms into the stack?
Them being loud an gathering many cattle does not mean there is any point to it.:)
From my p.o.v., my e-mail client (Thunderbird), browser, instant messenger, file-sharing app, and music player are already web(-enabled) apps. What's the point of making them run in the browser again? And with that point in mind, why is it then bad to run them in a browser that is running in the browser, but not to just run them in the browser?;)
Depends of those 59.3% have no plans to deploy Win7 ever. Which is how I understood it.:) (And the rest will at least test it, because of the lock-in effects, and then throw it out as soon as they can. ^^)
A millitary (manufacturing) facility, running XP? Does nobody think that this is pretty scary in itself?
Imagine the displays there showing the infamous Playmobil design, and in front of it a big colorful set of buttons that honk when you hit/push them. And you suddenly have to think of the movie Idiocracy. ^^
...but all those private space programs got a huge boost from the decades of NASA doing experiments in the first place. To the point where I think even nowaday, nobody would care to even think about investing in space exploration.
You want to ban all your propaganda, misinformation, FUD, press-releases in disguise, and advertisements in disguise from the net, unless someone pays a way too expensive price for it?
Well... go ahead!:D
I will go read some RSS news from blogs in the meantime.:)
Well, how about pollution, processed food, and all that trash being the main reason we get cancer?
Cancer was not even a known disease, a century ago, because nobody had it. (And if people get cancer now, way before the average age of death a century ago, then it can't be that it is because we now get older.)
Actually it's just the arrogance of some scientist. Who later found out, that all those parts who seemingly did not do anything, were in fact just as relevant. Just in a different way. Whoops!
I understand your point, but: How exactly are you planning to live without Earth?
It's like saying "woo-woo Body First nutcases". It just makes no sense. ^^
And I am no friend of what you would call "tree huggers". I just apply the simple logic of causality. Where prioritizing yourself is mostly equivalent to making your surroundings good, so you will be good too.:)
When I was a kid, Einstein was long dead. But I did not care. My mom did a nice trick by calling me "her little Einstein". This made me read everything and all about him, I could get my hands on. (At 9 years old).
Relativity theory? Quantum physics? It's nice: If you do not care if you are supposed to be too young for that stuff, you will notice that you actually got the brains to understand it. (Just don't expect grown-ups to take you serious, when you talk about things that go way over their head. ^^)
Bill them on the media. Bill them on the Internet connection. Bill them on the computer. Bill them on the downloads. Bill the uploaders. Bill the downloaders. Bill the network providers. Bill the sites hosting directories. Bill them on the concerts. Bill them on the tickets. Bill the artists. Bill the organizer. Bill them all trough a special tax.
Hmm... depends on how you see it. I say, let's use this exact situation, and make the most of it. Profit from it *because* it is that way. ^^
They can't do sustainable profit? Well, be the only one that is. And soon you will rule them all. Believe in your art, and people will believe in it to (that is in fact, how fashion, fads, trends, and all that works).
Lure them with the dream of the quick buck, bleed them dry, and then let them go down fast and hard.
I call it natural selection at work. If you are wiser, and always see things as "just being" instead of good or bad, nothing can bring you down, and you can always triumph.:)
The only point of that article is to advertise the crappy iPhone, which nobody would buy, were it not for the bubble of love they create around you and it. ^^
(Hmm... Sadly I think it may be more serious that I wished it to be.)

Ok, this is easier in Germany, with the IE (all versions) having close to 28 percent with a strong trend downwards.
I know you are joking. But until digital signatures become useful, letters will be with us. and I think the future for postal services is bright. I always combined them like this
M.I.P.B-R
with
M = major
I = minor
P = patch/bugfix
B = build (semi-auto-incrementing)
R = release (eg. when you test a Firefox plugin for a new version of Firefox, and it works without changes. so you only have to change the maxVersion. Or when distributing things. can be left away)

They still can use lolcats, because by then it's all a joke anyway. ^^
Day 8:
You got fired, and the system got "restored" because your "fixes" halted the whole "business".
It was a sad day.
It's all who were able to talk about Win7 without vomiting a little in their mouth. ^^
What you are talking about is called Opera Unite.
Oh and: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
Until everything becomes a webapp, the ecosystem almost demands it. Here's hoping people realize webapps are where it's at, for most things.

Why do "we" recognize it afterwards, instead of in the very second they open their mouth?
...but all those private space programs got a huge boost from the decades of NASA doing experiments in the first place.
To the point where I think even nowaday, nobody would care to even think about investing in space exploration.
How do they keep water from getting in?
You know: The North Pole is just some ice, and no continent or any land.
You want to ban all your propaganda, misinformation, FUD, press-releases in disguise, and advertisements in disguise from the net, unless someone pays a way too expensive price for it?

Bill them on the media.
Bill them on the Internet connection.

Bill them on the downloads.
Bill the uploaders.
Bill the downloaders.
Bill the network providers.
Bill the sites hosting directories.

That is the very point of that sentence of mine. ^^
Didn't you realize?
How did you come up with that conclusion.
The only point of that article is to advertise the crappy iPhone, which nobody would buy, were it not for the bubble of love they create around you and it. ^^
