completely seperate the servers by creating a seperate vlan, this will keep all layer 2 traffic away from them. then give them their own subnet and put them behind a pix. then you can filter whaterver traffic you want and only allow what you need. then you can customize what area's get access to what services with access lists
I've been running yellow dog linux on my old rev c imac for a couple of years now and it rocks. right now i have yd 3.0.1 and its way faster on that old hardware than os x. the only time i even bother booting into os x is if i want to run a mac specific program. i say why settle for apples half assed unix, when you can have the real thing that works way better
I used to work for several different internet providers, and one thing was the same with all of them, Their membership agreements all said that a residential line is for recreational use and no compensation will be given. If you want to work from home you will have to get a business account. afterall that does make sense, you are doing business aren't you? Read your membership agreeement and i'm sure you'll see the same thing in yours, so quit complaining and upgrade your account
