Someone mentioned using a BBC emulator. Failing that - how about going from the RM Nimbus version of the discs? As far as I can recall, the BBC version had to boot off the videodisc, while the Nimbus variant (which was a REALLY shitty PC - DOS-compatible only) had the client software on the PC. If an old copy is still kicking around...

True, I went to the atsf page initially.
The filesystem was similar to the old BBC DFS.. might it be possible to run the thing partially under emulation - to start yanking the data off?
Other comments about how current and future legislation is hamstringing us is right. Do we really want ot enter another Dark Age?
