I think Nintendo made a wise decision not pre-building all that junk into the system. It keeps it small and later, the system can be extended and upgraded easily. Compare that to a system like X-Box that stays as-is, static. I recently bought a monitor you can slap on the GCN and take with you (on car trips and things,:P). Another viewport some of you have overlooked.
