They started 20+ years ago working on vehicles and migrated to putting power generating systems on Mars. The early versions are still running without maintenance after 17 years in service.
They already license the technology to a few combined heat and power outfits in Europe and Japan.
They expressed no current interest in trying to replace the Internal Combustion Engine with the Stirling Engine in vehicles.
