Boy that was a wise manager. We had a dumb productive employee. He had a project, wrote thousands of lines of code, took one and a half years to write the code, had his code almost running for two years after that. We lost 3 major accounts and alot of credibility(good will). It took two smart productive engineers 6 months to completly redesign and rewrite and debug the product. We could say that DP employee was 1/3 as productive as the the 2 SP employees, since the SP employess took 1 man-year and the DP employee took 3+ man-years, but that would just be stupid.
