People should be allowed to kill themselves however they see fit. As far as health care, if you are a bad driver you pay more for car insurance. I don't see why health insurance should be any different.
You know, while I fundamentally disagree with the law as being unconstitutional, at least it seemed well intentioned. Now I find they exempted all kinds of places from it. WTF? It's okay to stop by the convenience store and grab a 96 ounce coke for my drive home but I can't have one at the Cinema? You gotta be kidding me. What the hell makes it okay to indulge at 7-eleven but not at the Movies? jeez!
We're just looking out for you health since you obviously aren't as smart as we are. By the way, we've noticed you haven't been exercising enough. Time for your mandatory 5 mile hike.
I drink more water than that at one time, especially when you consider most of it is taken up by crushed ice. If you fill a 16 ounce cup with ice 12 ounces of pepsi will not go in the cup.
While I see your point there is a difference. Obese individuals don't usually die quickly, they take many years of gradual decline to pass away and tend to use a lot more than average medical care in the process. Base jumpers tend to pass almost instantly and care generally is confined to an ambulance ride to be pronounced DOA at the end of it.
Nokia never marketed them. Only nerds even heard of them. It's an amazing phone that sells without advertising. They spend tons of money on advertising those winphones but they aren't exactly flying off the shelves. I'd think with a little effort the N900 could have failed a little less than the winphones they tried to foist on people.
I think it's clear now that Microsoft, as always, used a stopgap solution to make their followup successful. Winphone 7 was never going anywhere and the plan was always for Win8. Nokia fell into the EEE trap and was used to crack into the market to pave the way for Win8. Their carcass may still prove useful to MS down the road with their patents and such and also as an inroad to European and other world markets. This is yet another brilliant move by MS. I still find it hard to believe that companies partner with them knowing how it usually turns out. I guess the short term benefits are just too tempting. I expect to see Win8 phones from Microsoft. Wonder how that will play with Nokia? I'd say they are helpless.
Ah hell, I'm not going to argue economics with you. If you think you can tax you're way out of an economic slump good luck. As for abortion it's a moral issue with me. Most aborted babies would have ended up in prison? Nice assumption which, even if it's true, so what? Everyone deserves a chance, even you. I'm tired of seeing my tax money go to support a practice that horrifies and disgusts me. I vote my beliefs as is my right.......at least at the moment, who knows what tomorrow may bring. You vote what makes you happy. I get to pick between tweedle dee and tweedle dum and as I say I have one candidate who likes abortion and one who claims to oppose it. As far as I can see that puts Mitt Romney in the lead for my vote. Not much else to say for him 'cause there isn't much else to him. This election depresses me.
You should look at Federal spending. You can't raise taxes enough to fix the economy, it's way past that. If you raise taxes then the government takes the money and it disappears. If you leave the money in circulation then it creates jobs and is generally useful. I agree about the wars costing trillions however. That was supported by a mostly Democratic party for the majority of the last 12 years however. The current President has certainly not stopped the war spending in fact he's supported Congress's ridiculous spending spree for the 4 years he's been there. I've seen no real effort at all to cut any spending by the President or the Republicans and Democrats in Congress. No one at all has come up with a real budget to address the train wreck coming at us. To answer your last question, no, I don't think Mitt Romney will be any different. Honestly if it wasn't for the abortion issue I'd just as soon have another 4 years of President Obama. At least then when it went down the drain he wouldn't be able to point the finger at any one else. It's his ship, when it sinks he needs to stay on the bridge.
This is where the man so truly shows his inferiority to President Obama. At least President Obama can keep his lies straight. Candidate Romney needs to remember what state he is in so that he can utter what he believes the people there want to hear. While I disagree with President Obama on the issues I do respect the fact that he generally says what he means. He does twist the truth sometimes and he clearly lies when he feels the need but generally he is firm about where he stands even when he knows it's not going to win votes. He at least only seems to lie when he feels it is vital as opposed to Mitt Romney who much like Bill Clinton lies when the truth would probably suit better. I am so disgusted and disappointed with the Republican party who has foisted this man on us as the opponent to the President. It's like they know the conservatives have no choice but to vote against the President so they figure they can put this sham forward and we will have to support him. The RNC is rotten to the core and I'm still pissed about the way they ran the Georgia Republican gubernatorial primary. I truly don't believe there is any hope for the country. We have no one to vote for who will do anything at all to fix the fiscal mess we are in. I guess it'll have to come apart before it'll get fixed.
I figure the liberals must like him. I don't know many conservatives that do. The only thing I've found to like about him is that he's not President Obama but the problem is that when he gets in there he may become President Obama 2.0 After all, the Democrats stole his health care plan so Obamacare should really be called Robmecare. By the way, what's up with his tax returns? Almost no info on that. I can't figure why the Democrats aren't roasting him on it. The only reason he's not showing those returns is he's hiding something. I bet the rich SOB payed half the percentage in taxes I did. If I could hire a building full of CPA's and lawyers I guess I could pay next to nothing too.
No, they should keep it up. They should continue trying to capture every single market out there. I long for the day they start making cars. The entertainment is endless.
That's very nice. I'm glad you love the phone. For my usage it sucks and it appears I'm not the only one. No SD card on it, it might just as well run win8 for all the good it is to me. But hey! HTC can have the niche market for people that like their Android phone to have all the drawbacks of an iPhone without none of it's good features!
Who cares? If the card is in the phone then the data is on the phone for any practical purpose. You might be accurate but it's nitpicking and nobody cares about the insignificant difference. I want my data in my hand, on card or on phone or whatever it's mine and I have access to it regardless of the network. This is why, despite the fact I love almost everything about the iPhone I own a Samsung Android phone instead. It has my 32GB microSD card installed.
Damn! It should have been 800 thousand not million. My bad. I read it off a blog then checked it out after my post. Bad on me for trusting a blogger. I know better and still quoted them. Ack!
The info is freely available to the public. They're just too busy watching "Desperate Cunts of some city or other" or "Dancing with the washed up hasbeens" ot worry about something as unimportant as who's buying up Congress.
Free trade? It's a slogan not a reality. Governments the world over subsidize their industries. If you think backdoors don't exist in systems like this you're very naive. If I had anything I was worried about keeping secret I'd never use anything I didn't compile inhouse after a long, serious search of the source.
Oh come on. That's weak at best. If you're gonna have a nanny state at least be consistent about it.

It's not a puddle, it's a lake.
I wonder how much Nokia stock is held by Microsoft people?

This was a plus that lead me to by a Samsung phone.
I have seen a couple of windows phones. They seemed to work. I know the guys were making calls on them.

I still think of Taiwan as the real China. The rest of the country is under occupation by an evil regime.
