Everyone seems to assume when looking at the search terms that people are being stupid and actually searching for a search engine. This is not always the case. For instance, while Google is getting better at this, they have not always been good at providing links to their various services. For the longest time, I knew of no way to get to a direct link to Google Analytics, thus if I was on a computer that I didn't have bookmarks, I would simply search for "google analytics" which gave me the results I needed. Both google and Yahoo are used for much more than as a search engine. Add to this that they are also both in the news a fair amount and people may want to find information about some news development.
Don't be too quick to assume the reason for people making searches, particularly when you don't know the full search string that they used.
I had the 32002 for the first day. Their description for the error code says it is a problem getting stuff from the server, and to try again later. I figured it was due to release day overload. In the end, I followed their advice and changed my WiFi channel from the default 6 to 11 and now it works fine.
IMO, apple has one of the least obtrusive DRM setups available. Sure the fact that it isn't open to other players makes things difficult, but compared to the rediculous systems the RIAA/MPAA has come up with, Apple's stuff is great.
you actually pay per byte to download? You need a better ISP. The impression I got was that it downloaded during idle time (ie. while you are sleeping)
This is the problem with using a word from any established language. No matter what you choose, it is very likely that someone, somewhere is already using it, and won't like you using it. This is even more likely to happen if you use a word that has some kind of "coolness" or "geek" factor. This of course is not to say I think the name Firebird is at all interesting. In fact, it just doesn't roll off the tongue well enough for me use it.
As for me and my house, we shall use "phoenix" unless someone gives me good reason to do otherwise.
because of NASA releasing plans to have a manned mission to mars by 2010. The original purpose was to learn to live in an independant enviornment, ie. living completly off what could be carried from earth to where ever.
while they are a bit more expensive, you could get those little handheld remote control cars, maybe putting one per table or some. They are so simple, yet so cool.
I am certainly not all-knowing, but one of my biggest deterents to calling any help desk is that 9 times out of 10, they don't know any more than I do, and in some cases they no less. In setting up a help desk, determine who you are trying to cater to, and then make sure your attendants are more knowledgeable.
Wow, that really stinks. I have personally used similar solutions to the spam problem. In the future I would suggest using different aliases for friends, business contacts, web forms, etcs; and then keep the main POP account secret, that way the SPAM people shouldn't ever get the real address, and if something like this happens again to one of the front addresses, you can just drop it without losing all of them.
The BMW factory in Greer, SC does tours although I am not sure if they are totally free. This is where they make all the Z4's at X5's. Fuji Film gives tours in their Greenwood, SC plant where they make all those disposable cameras.
I took a year off between high school and college and I think it was one of the best things I could have done.
I spent the year as an exchange student to Spain and it gave me a different outlook on life.
As I finished high school, I personally was starting to get tired of studying and being in classrooms all day. Taking the year off allowed me to get away from class and experience new things.
Entering into my freshman engineering courses I found that unlike those around me I was refreshed and ready to learn, not to mention a year more mature.
My advise would be to do something productive that takes exactly one year, so that when that finished it will be easier to return to school.
I had no problems at all getting into school after taking a year off, in fact since I decided where I wanted to go during my senior year, I applied very earlier thus bettering my chances.
Sure I will be a year older when I graduate but I only have so many years to be young. Why rush through school??
