Ummm...how do you think they get the separated hydrogen fuel in the first place? (Ignoring the solid rocket boosters for the sake of argument.) The free hydrogen has to be separated. This process takes quite a bit of energy, more energy than burning the fuel returns. (See 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.) That energy most likely comes from some fossil source.

It's worth debating whether it's wasteful to use that energy on space travel. Especially on luxury space travel there are reasonable arguments on both sides. I personally am all for it. But I don't dismiss the arguments against out of hand.

No, you're not the only one who seems to believe that India and Pakistan, but that doesn't make you any less wrong. Just because the sub-continent isn't in the US or Europe doesn't mean they are ignorant or backwards. Your assumptions say more about your own lacks.

    - They have the resources and technology to develop atomic weaponry. (And don't tell me any high school kid can do that. There's a huge gap between understanding the theory and actually implementing it.)

    - Check out this webpage (found in a random search on India and Technology)

So what happens in 2006 when you're 40 and the demand for programmers starts to cool down.

And don't kid yourself, it will cool down someday. About 15-20 years ago it was chemical engineers who were red hot. And about 5-10 years ago they couldn't find jobs for anything. Economies move in cycles.

Those are quite inflamatory, even racist charges. Can you document them? A quick check of the FBI Uniform Crime Report for 1997 (latest full data available) says:

    Total Arrests, Distribution by Race:
    Violent Crime:
    White - 284,523
    Black - 205,823

Hardly 70% of violent crime. And that's just the arrest stats. Without even accounting for the effects on class/poverty on arrests and on crime, the data hardly supports your racist claims.
