#1 - this has been a topic of conversation for a while
#2 - per documentation at apache (Yes, I dare say a majority of web servers are running apache)
There is a flag that can turn renegotiation on/off
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_ssl.html
Available in httpd 2.0.64 and later, if using OpenSSL 0.9.8m or later
The default setting is:
SSLInsecureRenegotiation off
#3 - which leads to the conclusion that this is overhyped.
Seriously take a look at http://jpaerospace.com/
Basically since we started Space travel we've been into macho cowboys who suit up, rocket scientists, and massive flight control systems.
Lets face it, the slow boat from Europe or the Middle East, or China still gets here, just a whole lot cheaper.
These balloon cams one day is going to get people into space thinking.... What if we could remove about a good 90% of the thrust problem? What if?
I'd recommend the book One Minute Manager
by Kenneth H. Blanchard and Spencer Johnson
Fast read - you'll finish it under an hour.... and really truly insightful.
Totally non-technical - just plain and simple management. Probably the most
important book that I can think of for anyone going into management.
The problem seems to arise when a patent is sold.
It seems like the patent rules should be changed so that patent infringement can only apply when the original party filing the patent has been harmed.
It makes sense to protect the inventor - that's what patents are for.
The problem seems to arise when the party who is claiming infringement is not using the patent to generate revenue (excluding law suits).
It seems like there should be a "minimum reasonable usage" clause
in the patent law. By "minimum reasonable usage" means - you as a patent holder are using the patent in your livelihood or the corporations livelihood.
