I'm an American, and I have to say that I've never given more than a fleeting thought to any of these terrorist alert levels. And further, I've never heard anyone mention them in any conversation I've been involved in. I only know of them from the news.
I don't think anyone is distracted. Secondly, if you believe there aren't people thinking critically of the Bush Administration, you're quite the fool.
You have every right, if what I'm doing is to you or your property.
I do a lot of fishing, catch and release. While catching fish from someone's pond does not hurt them or their fish, they have every right not to allow me to fish there.
The point of the p2p argument is that regardless of what reason you try to back it up with, you are stealing other people's property. You can't steal the DVD from the store because you think it costs too much, and neither can you steal it on the internet.
As far as I've heard, the lawsuits have been filed against IP addresses, which are then later translated into a person.

I was under the impression that it was evolved from a weapon, and I was given that impression by the official learn-to-yo-yo video by Duncan.
Agreed.
Even Ms. Pacman was better.
