"Matt Cutts, a key Google engineer, used to work for the National Security Agency."
Oh good grief! I went to grad school with Matt Cutts (at UNC) and the people making that accusation know nothing about Matt. These people need to get a life and stop finding conpiracies under every rock. There are more than enough out in the open to worry about (i.e. DMCA, etc...).

Last time I checked, GNU Privacy Guard, also known as GPG, was a command line program. You're probably talking about the GNU Privacy Assistant (http://www.gnupg.org/(en)/related_software/gpa/in dex.html).

Looks like a typo on the date of the Morris Worm. The Morris Worm was November 1988, not 1998. Here's a link for reference.

And she's a big Science Fiction fan to boot!
Yes, she is quite the sci-fi fan. Enough that she performed at Endercon this past weekend for free. I was actually at that concert and she mentioned her article there. I believe her exact words about copying/downloading were "It's your legal right. Don't let them tell you otherwise."
  6. Book title on Downsides to the C++ STL? · · Score: 1
Before you listen to any of us, go out and buy "Effective STL" by Scott Meyers, and probably "The C++ Standard Template Library" by Nicolai M. Josuttis.
I highly agree, but when you go to look for the Josuttis book, remember that the name is: The C++ Standard Library: A Tutorial and Reference (no "Template" in the title).
