    quality? where? I must have missed something.

    I was a hard core windows person doing my best to backup MS until I was forced to learn linux at my job. I saw how it was 20 times easier to manage a linux box over a windows box. I started using Linux with X full time. I will NEVER go back to using windows full time.

    I guess you can say I was freed from Microsoft's version of "The Matrix" :)

    I will always use AMD for my home PC mainly because of the price. IMHO Intel is over priced, you're paying for the name not the product/quality.

    I use Sylpheed-Claws as my mail client and it has real time spell check while I'm typing.
    I also know theres a win32 port avaliable here sylpheed-claws but I'm not sure if it has real time spell check. I never tried it.

    On and if you like HTML e-mail *shudder* then don't bother with this as it doesn't do HTML.

    Do you want to know every nuance of the car you drive, just to get to work?

    You need to change the oil in your car every 3k miles or 3 months else it starts to bog down and sooner or later breaks.

    Same with a computer. Gotta keep the virus programs up to date else it will break. (for windowz users that is)

    Looks more like they are chooseing to stop support on cards as soon as possible. If your card isn't supported then what else to do but go out and buy the latest ATI card that is supported. Sounds like a M$ move to me.

    I use the NVidia drivers with no problem. Nothing wrong with a company not wanting to give out their source code.. Doing that will only give ATI and other companies the advantage to take NVidia's work.

    ATI lost my business due to their lack of linux support. NVidia was smart to see how many people are starting to use their cards alone with linux and games.

    I think in the long run it will only hurt ATI and help NVidia.

    I just don't use my VCR thus don't bother with setting the time.

    If you had to pay to speak in english would you continue speaking in it or would you change to another language like spanish, russian or chinese which would be 100% to speak in?

    I don't know a single word in those lanugages but I would be willing to learn if it was free.

    Anyone with the brains to run a warez http/ftp would know not to use the default ports of 80/21. However blocking port 80 might have helped slow down IIS worms such as Code Red.

    Wait till someone does an attack (Ex: RIAA) then block them. Self defence? I would think so. I block about 2 IP's that I don't know per day on my personal firewall from IP's that have hit ports on my computer more then once in a days time.

    I don't see anything wrong with it. Look at all the drug bust that are set up with undercover cops. Also female cops pose as hookers to lure in people.
