I retired from Pacific Bell with 31 years of service, so I think I have some knowledge of this subject. Bypass, was a dirty word and that's exactly what VoIP represents. I have been following this technology even before retiring in 1996, and it has come a long way. I believe it has already hurt the Telecommunication Industry. Large businesses with their huge networks have used different forms of this technology for years. People like yourself that can't see the near future change, will fall behind the curve and not be ready for the change. Just look at all the Telecom Companies now and you can see my point.
