  1. This is nothing but a MS IE PR campaign on Yahoo Will Ignore IE 10's "Do Not Track" · · Score: 1

I don't think this company knows what a standard is because they seem to fight them every chance they get. They think they're getting brownie points for being "Pro Consumer", but as always they just end up looking like fools in the end. This is nothing but a PR campaign to prop their lousy browser back into relevance after being embarrassed repeatedly by Chrome.

And let's face it, nobody knows about DuckDuckGo.

And let's face it, nobody gives a shit about DuckDuckGo except paranoid idiots. These are the same idiots that have no problem freeloading on services provided by Google, etc because they think they're entitled. They foolishly think they're being clever by going out of their way by using services like DuckDuckGo or browser plugins to cover their tracks, but what they fail to realize, in their infinite wisdom, is that they think they've already been proactively tagged and tracked by their ISP and cell phone carrier who sell their information to the highest bidder.

So, the next time you think you're being clever by using some 'alternate' search engine because it gives you a false sense of security of not being tracked, be sure to also cancel your ISP and Smartphone contracts and stay off the grid otherwise you're just living in a fantasy world.

Google has a long history of trying to weasel out of agreements and payments just because they're 'Google'. In turn, Microsoft spends billions an year towards their R&D (Microsoft Research). They also work with the pioneer in the industry, Nokia, which has developed pretty much all the technology we base mobile phones today on. They deserve to be paid.

Not only do I see victory for justice, but a long term crackdown on Google's illicit business practices. It is time to step up and show Google the door. If you cannot do business honestly, don't do it at all.

Justifiably, you were marked for the troll that you are. Microsoft is a convicted monopolist (US vs Microsoft), a stealer of IP and code (Stacker, i4i), a saboteur of companies (Wordperfect/Novell) and a financial backer to SCO. They're also anti-open standards as evidenced by the people they tried to pay off to try and ratify their failed document format standard. As for their R&D - all I see from their labs are useless kinect experiments that have no practical or commercial value.

Let all those Android device makers under several patent assaults from the like of Microsoft and the like do this:

Remove the "infringing" functionality from your phones but create publicity that the features are available through an extension-like add-on like similar to Firefox or Google's Chrome browser.

Then let's see who these patent litigants will sue. How about that?

6 of the Microsoft patents were thrown out and only 1 was upheld. The more Microsoft patents that can be identified as worthless the better. And the ones that are found to be infringing on their generic and prior art ridden patents they'll just work around it with another implementation of the functionality.
