I work in a 24x7 shop and we've been using the 3Ware Escalade series as well (using Slackware here). They're really nice: the drivers are in the kernel - none of this add a binary driver that might or might not work with later kernel updates stuff. Painting oneself into a corner is for the birds.

The Oklahoma location isn't just any old runway...try the fourth longest in CONUS, IIRC. Check it out . This thing is a monster (13,503 ft). I've personally been in a small aircraft taking off and landing on it. I'm surprised that the big air freight and shipping companies haven't snatched up space there (it's just a few miles off I-40), let alone rocketeers.
